The Armor of God: A Veterans Day Reflection
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:13)
On this Veterans Day, may we be reminded of the bravery of those who have served in our nation’s armed forces and their sacrifices to protect our freedom.
May we celebrate their defense of our Constitution—rights that were ultimately given by God.
May we never forget the strength that it takes to stand in the face of darkness.
May we forever be grateful to those who fight for our liberty—a gift from God.
May we honor the courage of those willing to lay down their lives for their countrymen, just as Christ lay down his life for us.
And on this day, may we also remember that God is with us in every battle. His Word is our safety—it is our protection through life’s trials. For He is ever fighting alongside us, leading us to the promise of victory.
